I realize its been a while and its now march 2011 but what the heck I'll post some of the decor I did for Christmas 2010!
Lets start first at my home, It was Brian and my first real Christmas tree being together, we found our lucky tree at Loews for $25.00, SCORE I thought, in Hawaii real trees cost at least $100.00. We also purchased a few red balls for the tree and come lights, Brian says "this should be enough right", I'm thinking suuuure honey ;) and after a trip to Michaels and walmart, it was enough lol.
The theme of our tree we came up with "Candy Cane Wonderland"
The Table cloth I found from Walmart for $5 and with left over ribbon I made bows
and heres a close up
<3
The first tree of the season we decorated was Ms. Barbar, who is an actual Princess of an undisclosed country. Lets just say her house was sickuhning! and heres her tree...
and a close up
The next home we decorated was located in a really cute cozy community with lots of trees and grass and all the houses looked french, well come to find out the guy whose house we are decorating designed and built the entire couldesac. Very nice. Here are some pics of what we did.
In class Chieko taught us how to make a Christmas tree out of dogwood, I loved it, my favorite thing to do all Christmas season. When I got home I added some wire and decided to give it to my managers at Outback.
Christmas, a time of gift giving. I was thoroughly in the mood this Christmas and i decided I wanted to make some goodie bags, or in my case goodie boxes :)
I got the boxes from Michaels for $1 each and filled em with stocking stuffers from Pier One, chocolate strawberries, my moms cookies ;), and a candy cane.
This past Christmas was also my first Christmas Big Event. I was very happy to find out I would be doing Christmas decor for a major Casino, and 2 at that! We did the Christmas decor for the Luxor and the Excalibur, both MGM properties. VERY long process and a bunch of work but in turned out so beautiful. My baby was the Luxor front desk decor. We totally redesigned the old vases with ornaments and did magic to the lights and made everything look fabulous.
In the work room
The Luxor's colors were white, blue, and purple.
There were 40 lamps that were thrown on my lap on the last night of install, boss says "you need to cover the lamps at the front desk, and you can only use the left over ornaments", alrighty then, this is what Brian and I came up with
light on
The Excalibur's colors were white, gold, and red.
I hope everyone had a Mele Kalikimaka :)
